For your information, Yayasan TEKUN Nasional was established in 1998 as an institution under the Ministry of Entrepreneurial and Cooperative Development. The main objective of Yayasan TEKUN National then was to provide easy and fast capital financing to the Bumiputeras who want to  get involved in the business  sector and become entrepreneurs.

Since its establishment, TEKUN Nasional  has successfully implemented its duties and responsibilities. Up to 31st December 2007, TEKUN Nasional has provided a total of RM 772.0 million in financing to 139,000 entrepreneurs all over the country. For 2008, TEKUN National has allocated a total of RM 182 million in financing to almost 19,000 entrepreneurs.

2008 is the 10th anniversary for Yayasan TEKUN Nasional. It is the time to evaluate TEKUN Nasional’s achievements and performances whether it has achieved its aspirations and objectives or not. No matter what it is, we at Yayasan TEKUN National must always strive to optimise this institution’s operations and make changes and reforms from time to time according to the current needs. Hence in 2008 Yayasan TEKUN Nasional has changed its directions and started its re-branding.

With a new direction, it is hoped that Yayasan TEKUN Nasional  can play its role more effectively to achieve its objectives. In addition, TEKUN National will also optimise its delivery system to give the best services to the targeted group namely its customers.

TEKUN National's administration pays full attention on the aspect of Integrity and good Corporate Governance, besides creating the Performance Management System and Quality Management System in this institution's operation. In fact, TEKUN Nasional is in the process of acquiring the ISO 9001:2000 recognition before the end of this year. Insya Allah.

Moreover, TEKUN National will also create a strategic network among TEKUN entrepreneurs through TEKUN’s Entrepreneur Community (TEKUN e-Community). Via this platform, the existing TEKUN entrepreneurs who totalled over 100,000 people would be able to form one cooperative bond which could provide benefits towards their business development. TEKUN National will also develop the TEKUN’s Entrepreneur Portal which would be the database, business affairs and network centre among TEKUN's entrepreneurs and the public..
